Travel Health
Due to changes with the GP contract Arran Medical Group no longer provide a dedicated travel and vaccinations advice service on Arran.
You should seek appropriate specialist advice well before travelling abroad, particularly if it is anticipated that any vaccinations or special measures might be required.
To do this you need to get in touch with a travel clinic. We have listed several nearby clinics in the list below that you may wish to consider.
You need to take a copy of your vaccination history - this can be requested by phoning or speaking to one of our reception team in any site. Please give at least 2 working days' notice so we can ensure that the information provided is correct.
Some vaccines are available from the NHS. If you are advised that you require these by the Travel Clinic and, can provide documentation to this effect, we can book an appointment with any Practice Nurse. For this service we require at least 2 weeks’ notice and cannot guarantee availability of the vaccine due to national shortages which occasionally occur.
